Kreen-Akore, @lovelyritametermaid.
One tip on finding song threads, check the song's entry on the main site. Every song's entry that has a thread contains a link to the thread.

I did a thorough search for one, but I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a catch-all Linda McCartney appreciation type thread?
I've recently bumped a few Linda-related threads in the process of my search (because I couldn't resist oops), but in light of @meanmistermustard's notifying us of thread clean-ups in All Together Now , I was just wondering if maybe it would be appropriate to make a catch-all Linda thread if there wasn't already one-- to serve the same purpose as the Pattie Boyd thread and the Yoko thread.
Thanks, mods
Sincerely,

Dusting off Beatles-related threads is fine.
Here are the threads that have Linda in the title.

If none of those get to what you're wanting to post about, feel free to create a new thread about her.

The issue is more threads and conversations that are covered elsewhere. This forum is 'Beatles Bible' and whilst we have no issue having 'ATN ' open and active (mods love the community that we have and we never want to stifle people or lose that) we do have to remember Joe created a Beatles forum so having 30,876 other threads going on will only lose the Beatles core element. There is also no need to have duplicate threads as it only leads to two conversations in different threads resulting in confusion and complications (folk who have been here for a good few years will have experienced that and it is a pain).
We will happily point folk to topics to continue discussions, which can hopefully be seen in moving conversations to the 'Getting To Know You' thread.
Linda-wise I have no idea which threads exist. Would need to look into it along with the others as I'll only put my foot in saying no thread exists when someone finds it. I'll get back to you.
Edit: Ahh Girl replied and there is no need for me to say anymore as she said it wonderfully, and better than me.

Have seen a few Steely Dan fans on the forum, but can't see a Steely Dan thread in the All Together Now section. Wasn't sure if it was a possibility to make one / if that was wanted by others?

Sadly, there are no Steely Dan threads-- I did a quick search just to double-check, and my search came up with noting. And, sadly, one cannot make a Steely Dan thread in All Together Now , since we can't make any new threads in ATN due to Joe's and the mods' to try to keep the forum from being overwhelmed by non-Beatles discussion. The same reasoning is why even if there was a Steely Dan thread it would probably be locked rn (even though they didn't lock the Led Zep thread, for whatever reason )
However, you can also bring up Steely discussion in the Impossible....Thread and even the "What Are You Listening To Right Now?" thread (which is pretty much just the blanket music-in-general discussion thread)

@joe tightened up the ATN section a while back so I believed a new thread on Steely Dan isn't a possibility, but feel free to discuss the topic in active related threads (what are you listening to, impossible to derail, etc.).
EDIT: I didn't see lovelyritametermaid's post until after I submitted this one.

Afraid new threads in the All Together Now section can no longer be made, @kelicopter. Joe felt there was too much non-Beatles discussion on what is a Beatles forum, and that it was beginning to dominate, so locked it to new threads. Only one exception has been made since, and that was for the Coronavirus thread as it was starting to dominate several threads as a subject so it was agreed there should be a thread for that to bring the conversations on the subject together in one place.
EDIT: My internet cut in the middle of posting and I had to wait for it to come back...

Thank you @lovelyritametermaid @Ahhh Girl and @Ron Nasty ! I saw the Led Zep thread and it made me wonder, but not to worry! The new rule makes sense, it is the Beatles Bible, after all.

We could make something else out of that LZ thread as it's not been closed, 'cause currently we're discussing Pink Floyd on it, I can't believe there is no Pink Floyd thread. Maybe we could turn that one into an all-old-school-British/Beatles-contemporary-rock-bands-thread-thingy to not have to seek out excuses to make mad rankings and reviews and such of other bands in other threads.
Also, I'm still mad I got me no jazz thread@vonbontee, @QuarryMan and I could go on for days on there.

And you'd risk seeing it locked. Joe left it unlocked for whatever reason he did, and if it were to change too much he might just close it.

hmmmm maybe we could just make it into a general rock music thread? I don't think that'd be crossing the line into "Locked" territory, and it could still technically lend itself to the purpose of the forum-- Beatley discussion?

Joe locked a thread that was about early rock music. I'm not trying to be Eeyore but I was there for the great thread-locking, and was very vocal against many of the threads being locked that were. Hell! He even locked the Dylan thread, who's far more associated with them than Led Zeppelin.
I just can't see him wanting a thread that attracted more attention than the Beatles threads do. You, as I, all joined a Beatles forum.

I have had the pleasure of meeting @Joe, @Jules, and he is definitely not a tyrant. He's a very nice man. However, the Beatles Bible is his baby, something he has put many hundreds of hours into, probably into the thousands of hours. And he knows what he wants it to be, and how he wants the forum he attached to be.
You, as I did, joined a Beatles forum, and there are plenty of threads to discuss whatever you want, but his primary aim with the forum was to create a place for Beatles fans to discuss The Beatles. I've been here long enough to see when The Beatles were barely discussed, which was and is the whole purpose of this forum, but he has allowed some leeway in that, and allowed opportunities for non-Beatles discussion between us.
Me and Joe, though I consider him a friend and hope he does me, have butted heads many times over the years when he's felt the need to refocus the forum onto its central purpose. Six months later I've always had to admit he was completely right.
Speaking just for me, I respect Joe's judgement, and what he wants this place to be - a place to discuss The Beatles. It's why this is the best Beatles site on the interweb by far.
